The Pickleball World Championships Return to North Texas, Bringing the Biggest Festival in Pickleball Back to the Metroplex!

Author: | March 13, 2025

The largest pickleball festival in the world returns to Farmers Branch, Texas, November 3-9, for the 2025 edition of the Pickleball World Championships. The 2025 edition marks the third consecutive year at Brookhaven Country Club and the event has experienced remarkable growth in each year.

In 2024, more than 57,500 attendees enjoyed daily festivities on Pickleball Boulevard, including exciting amateur pickleball tournaments and programming, diverse food and beverage options, and shopping – all while witnessing the world’s highest level of pickleball competition in the pro divisions. When all was said and done, the event accounted for $15.7 million in local economic impact, according to an economic impact study by the city of Farmers Branch.

With pickleball continuing its remarkable growth – recently confirmed as the fastest-growing sport in America for the fourth consecutive year by the 2025 Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) Participation Report – anticipation and demand for the 2025 Pickleball World Championships is expected to once again be at an ultimate high.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring our signature event, the Pickleball World Championships, back to Brookhaven Country Club for the third year in a row,” said PPA Tour Founder & CEO Connor Pardoe. “This year’s edition will see Pickleball Boulevard go bigger and better than ever with a bolstered lineup of clinics and programming, enhanced fare options, and fun activities for the whole family to enjoy while cheering on the greatest players in the world as they compete for the ultimate crown in pro pickleball.”

The Pickleball World Championships will once again host a can’t-miss amateur competition, where players of all ages and abilities play for gold, glory, or just to have fun. The week will be chock-full of pickleball clinics, games, socials and more, which will welcome both seasoned players and those new to the sport. In 2024, more than 4,200 players participated in these competitions and programming, marking monumental growth for the tournament. Amateur players are the backbone of the sport and this is the best opportunity to play with, compete against, and make memories with others  on the biggest stage in the sport. “Once again, we are very excited to welcome the pickleball world championships to Farmers Branch for the third year in a row for the Carvana PPA World Championships,” said Farmers Branch Mayor Terry Lynne. “This event is a testament to the great partnership our city has with PPA, Invited Clubs, Brookhaven Country Club and the Dallas Sports Commission. Whether you are a local guest or a national or international spectator or participant, our city is yours and we can’t wait to welcome you with Texas hospitality. Welcome to Farmers Branch, the Pickleball Capital of the United States!”
Last year’s professional tournament saw the most dominant force in professional pickleball, 18-year-old Anna Leigh Waters, win Gold Medals in both women’s singles and mixed doubles – alongside multi-time champion and top pro pickleball player Ben Johns. In men’s singles, Dallas native Michael Lloyd had a tournament for the ages, steamrolling through the competition and upsetting favorites Dylan Frazier, J.W. Johnson, and Johns on his way to a Championship Sunday match with World No.1 Federico Staksrud, where his incredible run came to an end. Fans can expect more action-packed pickleball this November 3-9, 2025 at Brookhaven when the best players in the world return to Texas.
