  • Jade Kawamoto became the first left-handed female player ever to win a title. She won the Women’s Doubles title in Cincinnati with her sister Jackie. CJ Klinger and Augie Ge are the only other left-handers to win championships.
Return the Serve over there! Five high-volume instances where one player hit at least 90 percent of their team’s Third Shots in a final:
  • Lacy Schneemann 76, Etta Tuionetoa 4, (95%), Sacramento Vintage Open.

  • Christian Alshon hit 17 Offensive Lobs in the Men’s Doubles final at the Vegas Open (indoors).
Driver’s License: 
  • Jade Kawamoto hit 39 Third Shots, all Drives and no Drops, in the Women’s Doubles final at the Cincinnati Open.
Game Point:
  • Tyra Black’s 18 Clean Winners in the Women’s Doubles final at the Vegas Open (indoors) in August tied Rachel Rohrabacher’s record for the most in a Women’s final since the start of 2022.
