PPA Tour to Host Baird Wealth Management Texas Open This Weekend

The Oasis Pickleball Club will play host to the latest Tour offering from the PPA Tour and Baird, bringing significant tourism to the area
SALT LAKE CITY (Nov. 02, 2022) – This weekend, pickleball will be taking over the Greater Dallas area at the 2022 Baird Wealth Management Texas Open in partnership with the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA Tour). The event is set to be played November 3-6 at the Oasis Pickleball Club in Rockwall, which features 42 outdoor pickleball courts, including two grandstand stadiums. Tournament organizers anticipate welcoming close to 1,250 pickleball players and 4,000 spectators over four days of play.

Dallas has long been home to some of the U.S.’s most avid pickleball players and is #2 in the nation regarding the state’s number of designated pickleball courts. The best players in the world, including Ben Johns, Anna Leigh Waters, Riley Newman, and Catherine Parenteau, will be descending on the Oasis Pickleball Club to vie for the title. The tournament will also feature food/beverages, live entertainment, VIP experiences, giveaways and games, pro player meet-and-greets, shopping, vendors, and more.
“The Baird Wealth Management Texas Open fills hotels and restaurants in Rockwall and is a tournament our city has rallied around in true Texas spirit,” said Miranda Forbes, former Director of Pickleball at Oasis and a current PPA Tour Tournament Director. “People come from all over the country to participate in this event and experience the fantastic pickleball community and hospitality in Northern Texas.”
Prize money for the Baird Wealth Management Texas Open totals more than $133,000, and the tournament promises to be one of the largest ever held in Texas. Sunday’s action will showcase finals from all five Pro Tour divisions.
