PPA Tour Carvana Mesa Cup Breaks Attendance Revenue Records for Pro Pickleball

Author: | February 25, 2025

The 2025 PPA Tour Carvana Mesa Cup will prove to be a seminal moment in professional pickleball, with record-breaking attendance revenue and more attendees than an average ‘23-’24 regular season NBA and NHL game. The 6-day event at the Arizona Athletic Grounds drew a staggering 18,965 attendees – the largest pickleball event in the venue’s illustrious history.

Additionally, ticketing revenue surpassed $300,000, making the Carvana Mesa Cup the most successful event in Carvana PPA Tour history outside of the World Championships in Dallas. All tickets were completely sold out from Thursday-Sunday – across Grounds Passes, Courtside and VIP tickets.

“The 2025 Carvana Mesa Cup will go down in history as one of the greatest pickleball events ever,” said Connor Pardoe, founder and CEO of the Carvana PPA Tour. “Our first-ever PPA Tour event was here in Mesa five years ago, so it was a real pinch-me moment to see how far we’ve come. Every day, the grounds and stands were packed with passionate pickleball fans, and the energy was palpable from first ball to last.”

Fans were treated to some of the most spectacular pro pickleball the sport has ever seen, with Championship Sunday’s matches featuring the world’s best players competing in five extremely close matches. World No.1 Anna Leigh Waters saw the most success on the weekend, winning gold in singles and women’s doubles.

“Across our deep rooted history in pickleball, we’ve never seen anything like last week’s PPA Tour Carvana Mesa Cup,” said Ben Worley, Director of Pickleball at the Arizona Athletic Grounds. “The PPA Tour brings the fans and players out in droves, and last week was no exception. The Carvana Mesa Cup was the biggest pickleball event we’ve ever hosted, and we’re excited to welcome the PPA Tour back in 2026!”
