=== MEN’S SINGLES ===
BEN JOHNS, the top seed, going for his sixth singles title of the year.
CHRISTIAN ALSHON, the #7 seed, is in his first PPA final. He beat #2 seed Federico Staksrud along the way. Alshon has two bronze medals this year.
(Jaume Martinez Vich won the bronze medal)
=== WOMEN’S SINGLES ===
ANNA LEIGH WATERS, the #1 seed, is going for her ninth singles title of the year, and her fifth in a row.
IRINA TERESCHENKO, the #3 seed, is in her first final this year. Her only PPA singles title was in February 2020.
(Judit Castillo wins the bronze…she beat #2 seed Lea Jansen along the way, handing Lea her first “no-medals” showing in singles this year.)
=== MIXED DOUBLES ===
ANNA LEIGH WATERS and BEN JOHNS, the top seeds, did not lose a game en route to the finals. They are looking for their 8th title this year, and their 20th together.
LUCY KOVALOVA and MATT WRIGHT, the #3 seeds, lost to Waters/Johns in the final at the Desert Ridge Open in February. Their two titles together were in 2021.
(Etta Wright and Connor Garnett, the #15 seeds, won the bronze medal)
=== MEN’S DOUBLES ===
FEDERICO STAKSRUD and PABLO TELLEZ, the #3 seeds, needed three games to beat Dylan Frazier and Matt Wright in the semis. They are looking to “complete the set” after earning a silver and a bronze earlier this year.
BEN JOHNS and COLLIN JOHNS, the #1 seeds, are back in the finals. They are looking for their fourth straight gold medal and ninth of this year. Their 22 titles together are the most of any PPA doubles team, gender or mixed.
(Callan Dawson and Hayden Patriquin won the bronze medal. Dawson won seven bronzes last year. This is the first PPA medal for Patriquin.)
=== WOMEN’S DOUBLES ===
ANNA BRIGHT and ANNA LEIGH WATERS, the #1 seeds, are in their fifth final together this year, all in the win column. ALW has five golds this year with Catherine Parenteau. A win for Waters would be her 20th career women’s doubles title, one behind Lucy Kovalova’s division-leading total of 21.
VIVIENNE DAVID and LACY SCHNEEMANN, the #6 seeds, are in the finals after beating the #2 seeds, Lea Jansen and Lucy Kovalova, in three games, and a convincing 11-0 “pickle” in Game Three. Both players have been in the finals this year, but playing with different partners. David won a doubles gold medal last November.
