Lingwei Kong: Professional Pickleball Player on the PPA Tour
Lingwei Kong is a professional pickleball player competing on the PPA Tour in women’s singles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. She has established herself as a notable competitor in the rapidly growing sport of professional pickleball.
Background & Career
Originally from Guong Zhou, China, Lingwei Kong has lived in Wichita, Kansas since 2019 where she played #1 singles and Doubles for the Wichita State Women’s tennis team. Prior to her college career, Lingwei was a touring pro on the ITF Tour in Asia from 2016-2018.
Kong was introduced to Pickleball through the PPA community in Wichita in late 2022 and turned Pro following her college graduation at the PPA Tour’s Seattle Open in July 2023.
When she’s not on the court – Lingwei enjoys traveling, cooking, working with kids and learning new languages (she currently speaks 4!).
Kong is sponsored by Lunar Pickleball and is excited about helping to grow awareness for the sport across Asia and in her home country of China.
