About Hunter Johnson

-Born and raised in the small ski town of Taos, New Mexico,
-Played D1 tennis in college with a scholarship and degree from SMU in Dallas, TX. While there, Hunter and his twin brother Yates would go on to become the winningest doubles team in school history, along with a career high ranking of 15 in the country in doubles and 30 in singlesAfter graduating, he devoted 4 full years to his craft on the Tennis Pro Tour in doubles as he would go on to beat the top players in the world with a combined 14 Professional titles, including 13 ITF Futures and 1 ATP Challenger title with wins over Alexander Zverev and Felix Auger-Aliassime to name a few. One of his favorite memories while on tour was getting a chance to practice with the one and only Roger Federer. Reached a career high ATP Doubles ranking of 198 in the world, at the end of 2021 he made the tough decision to say goodbye to the sport he loved and become one of the first active pro Tennis players to transfer to compete full time in Professional Pickleball along with his twin brother Yates. Since making the switch Hunter has fought his way to the top at one point becoming the 2nd best pickleball player in the world in DUPR Singles rankings. Finished 4th in singles 2 years in a row at nationals and has been drafted premier the last 2 seasons in MLP with the Atlanta Bouncers and currently drafted to the LA Mad Drops. With his new career, Hunter continues to persevere on his journey to becoming the top Pickleball Player in the world.
