About Donald Young
Chicago-born Donald Young is yet another notable name in tennis to come compete in the world of professional pickleball. After a highly successful junior tennis career that saw him reach No. 1 in the junior world rankings at age 16, Young went on to have success on the ATP Tour in both singles and doubles. The lefty reached the 2017 French Open final in men’s doubles and made the 4th round in singles at the US Open in both 2011 and 2015. At the heights of his career, Young achieved top-50 rankings in both events.
Young brings a combination of speed, lefty spin, and quick hands to pickleball, which is one of the reasons why he is thought to carry so much potential in the sport.
When he’s not travelling to play in tournaments, he resides outside of Atlanta, GA.
