Collin Shick's Bio
Collin Shick burst onto the pickleball scene in March 2023 when he made it through qualifying in singles at the Florida Open and reached Championship Sunday in his first-ever PPA Tour event. He was defeated by World No. 1 Ben Johns, but claimed a silver medal.
Shick previously played collegiate tennis at North Carolina State University and majored in chemical engineering. He helped the Wolfpack reach No. 6 in the NCAA rankings and reached No. 27 in the NCAA doubles rankings individually. After earning his degree, Shick began medical school at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022. His areas of interest are sports medicine and orthopedics. Shick, who also has a bronze medal on the PPA Tour, began playing a lot of pickleball around that time as well after missing tennis and the thrill of NCAA competition. Outside of pickleball, he enjoys golf and rock climbing.
